undoubtedly the most impressive form of computergraphics are 3d-modelling and animation. the photorealistic results appear in such brilliant quality that even experts are not able to tell "real" and „model" apart anymore.
at first a virtual wireframe is modelled, one can compare this to 3dimensional technical drawing.
then a texture with different optical features like colour, reflection, transparency or texture is projected onto the model, and, for example, supplemented with virtual light sources. now, the computer can calculate the actual picture by means of physical-optical principles. in the gallery » you will find some examples which were developed this way.
